British Israelism was one of several first religious actions to become a haven for anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. A founder of the movement, John Wilson, espoused statements meant to empower Christians by arguing which they, as opposed to Jews, would be the genuine descendants from the Dropped Tribes of Israel. Wilson demonized the Jewish religi
